Hi Dean,

I guess by your posting you are new to cadet karting: welcome to the sport!

As far as I know, the tyres are not directional, but as your driver advances, there is an advantage in not mixing the positions of the tyres, as they do not wear-in the same amount on each side.

We now fit our tyres so that the "Dunlop" faces the RH side, so to ensure we get the same tyre in the same position. This is just our way of going on and other teams have their own way of marking tyre positions: but I would suggest that in your early days of karting, it doesn't make that much difference.

On the subject of tyres pressures, well, that's one that would fill this forum 100 times over! We start on a cold track with slicks about 25psi and reduce as the track and conditions warm: but every day and track is different. Ask questions and seek advice from those in the pits prepared to give it, most are.
