I agree with the idea of video cameras around the circuit would record the action however this will put more pressure on the clubs in terms of the extra cost involved with the purchase & installation of equipment plus the added security risks for the equipment itself given that many venues have little or no on site protection let alone mains power to run a system.
If clubs bite the bullet and spend the cash will the competitors turn their back on the circuit because the entry fees have been raised to cover the cost? I think that most would race elsewhere to save a few bob which would leave the club in problems. Possibly a straw poll on this subject is needed to see how many competitors are prepared to pay the extra in entry fees to have video cover available.
Another aspect of this is that given the limited amount of time available to clerks for reviewing video evidence and it is likely that clubs would need to employ an extra clerk just to monitor this whilst offenders are being dealt with.
