People have been running them all year locally.
It is thought that some types of nudgeing become more difficult. Certainly the 'lift and heave' where a driver picks up the driver in front seems more difficult if you use the 'full bar' model.
Drivers also report that you can survive a shunting better, they don't seem to go off line quite so readily.
I have seen one incident where the shunt bent the bumper so far round that it was trapped inside the rear wheel, but it wore the bottom out of the bumper, not the tyre and the driver still finished well up the grid.
Of course you aren't going to stop those determined to cheat by bashing but since they results are more survivable, there's a chance you will survive it and that it will get noticed.
