I think the weight limits are fine with max as im over the weight by 4 kilos in max that equates to 10lbs. I do not feel at a disadvantage and have thought that losing the weight would aid my racing however that is the negative side of being over the limit is it slows you down a bit. But in lighter instances like tkm if they are that much lighter than everyone else there negative is not being able to self start, however they do run clutches so that cancels out that one.
I spoke to a driver who was swapping from max to kf2 and struggled to drop the wieght but it is down to personal choice.
