Seems to be a fairly consistent message coming out of this thread.
Most people who go racing have emptied the coffers to the extent that an appeal is simply not an option. I would have done it in a recent race where television footage showed beyond any doubt that I had a strong case for a review of the results. I could cope with that, but what I really struggled to cope with as a human being was the absolutely abysmal attitude of the CoC when I challenged the incident in the stewards' office. Patronising does not even come close to a description. To rub salt into the wound I subsequently found that in another race the result was overturned in very similar circumstances. My conclusion was that there was absolutely zero consistency from the CoC and the only message that this sends out is that it is worth taking an illegitimate chance on the track because there is a good chance you will get away with it (unless Mr Megabucks challenges it).
I would hope that the MSA would be interested in such feedback. Unfortunately, it does not seem welcome, period.
