I think you raise many good points and suggestions. Honestly I do.

In the MSA's defence the V12 regs are currently quite close in nature to the TKM fiche, and the V13 regs will nail things down further.....you could easily argue the allowance of the 45.1mm crank limit / loophole was eventually going to be exploited, and it was......but lets not go there!

Yes I hate the DEP exhausts too.......but that's the hand we have now been dealt, so its here to stay.

Overall certain engine builders have totally abused unknowing parents generosity with over-inflated dyno plots, and they fell for it....... it got to the point that it felt like we were racing dyno plots.......its a shame it took 4-5 years, but all the top S1 teams have now seen through the smoke and mirrors and BS and gone else where......so what goes around comes around.

my point being its not all the MSA's fault, I do believe they are trying their best, and V13 will prove this.

Its still possible for a parent to build their own engines and achieve success, ignoring myself, I have seen many non-engineering people build their own engines with great results, it can be done.
