Unfortunately Brian is a little out of touch with the reality of how the Extreme engine is performing. Accept that there are more variables than just engines but the top 14 drivers were separated by just 0.51sec at the last round at PFI and grids of 46 and greater this year confirm that the formula works. Not perfect as I said before but far better than the cheque book racing that 160 racing has become.

As for the differences in 160 engines (and remember that my data is 3 seasons old) but there are SPs and there are SPs. We borrowed an awesome set and back to backed them against ours and gained over half a second and we know the ones we borrowed were not the quickest.

At Kartmasters last year I witnessed a constant presession of cadet teams testing carbs on RPM's dyno at God only knows what cost to dads yet in 2.5 seasons I don't think I have had a carb off our sealed Extremes. Save for periodic oil changes and maintaining the clutches we have had 3 seasons of trouble free racing.
