Check obvious stuff like bent front stubs first.

You can check a lot visually on a stand too. Remove the seat, engine and plastics and visually align the rear axle (bare if possible) with the top of the front king pins. If there is a twist it will be obvious....then you just need to decide if you are happy to straighten yourself or want to pay someone else to do it....and when you watch them straighten it will think to yourself, I could have done that!

If you want to get more technical, use a pair of spirit levels!
