'Scuse me?

Since when did DFS dictate how I sit on my sofa to watch tv?

My tv, my sofa and I'll put me feet on it if I like and watch what I like.

There was nothing to stop the importer of Rotax from 'allowing' any of the changes in the Rotax class and give some benefit to their customers. That's the word we keep coming back to, isn't it, customers.

It's also the word that certain 'bodies' have grudgingly taken to including in their conversations recently.

They were just milking it for all it was worth and now we've managed to remove the silage and ensure the milk dries up.

Iame doesn't dictate to Mills, they sell engines, lots of engines now. Mills sets some rules but there is freedom there and he listens and that's the clincher.

X30 isn't perfect but the trade off is favourable.

With the Rotax there are different rules around the world like needles, floats etc, but those rules aren't imposed by Rotax, they're imposed by the rules of that class in Australia or Europe or America or wherever. There's nothing to stop a class running 'seal free' honk honk. (You do miss me doing that, don't you)?

So, JAG could have done it, they just chose not to listen and the result is a near total collapse of the class.

I was talking to a team manager at his place the other day and asked how much Rotax stuff he still does, his reply was 'NONE, not with that ****ing thing (pointing to the big red Lego knob on the starter box. It looks s***.'

JAG's attitude was the best case of commercial suicide I've witnessed by a typical British company for quite a while.

Did they think that the MSA, ABkC, BRP, S1,or NGfK would rescue them?

Luke 2 King Alan Version.

1 And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from BRP that all the world should be Rotaxed.

2 (And this Rotaxing was first made when the MSA was governor of Karting)

3 And all went to be Rotaxed, every one into his own club.

4 But there came from Grantham a tiny army of supporters, armed with a couple of X30's, and David (ok John) did defeat Goliath and karting became free of the RoTax.

Here endeth the first and last lesson.

Listen to your customers or the resulting silence of your tills is be deafening.
