This post is by a private individual for a non-profit making non-commercial club and kart track; LKRC and Fulbeck Kart Track. All proceeds raised go back into running the club and track for the benefit of those that race there.
Dreams do come true - sometimes!
There is a planning application going in for a major wind farm development on and around Fulbeck airfield.
Part of the application includes major developments and support for LKRC Fulbeck kart club. This is a full resurface of the track including track extensions. Possibly resurfacing of access roads (also necessary for access to the turbines). Supply of mains electric to club house, facilities and paddock - no generators required! This is part of a supporting the community through sport strategy by the developers.
As Fulbeck run both MSA and Non MSA events the circuit is 'accessible to all' and ripe for this type of strategy.
Where you can help, if you have anything to do with Fulbeck, used it in the past, might use it in the future, have used and will use it as part of a visiting championship - OEKC, NKF, FORCES CHAMPS etc, would use it if facilities and track was improved, then a short quick communication supporting the application will all add weight to the application going ahead. A rough time frame is the development could be complete by the end of 2017 in time for a 'new Fulbeck kart circuit' (old track layout with extensions and new kerbs) to be available for 2018. I know it is a long way off but Rome wasn't built in a day and I'm sure you will still be racing in a couple of years and / or people you know will be - invest in the future of this historic kart club and circuit - a great track to drive and race on.

By submitting comments online
Visit the project website, www.fulbeckairfieldwindfarm.co.uk and visit the ‘support our proposal’ section. This has a link to an online comments page where you can fill in your details and show your support.
By emailing the council
Expressions of support can be sent directly to the officer at the council dealing with the planning application. Emails should quote the planning application reference number S/15/1764, and be sent to N.Bryan@southkesteven.gov.uk
By writing to the council
Comments can be submitted in writing directly to South Kesteven District Council.
Letters should quote the planning application number S/15/1764.

If you want to copy and paste a section of reasons why you support the application to make it easy and if you agree with the statements, use this below, but add something a little personal relating to Fulbeck circuit and club being unique as it makes karting being accessible to all at, even those without their own equipment for example Junior Tyro operate there where no equipment is required and all is provided.
I support the planning application for Fulbeck airfield wind farm ref. S15/1764 for the following reasons;
• Renewable energy sources will play a part in enabling greater UK energy security
• Wind energy is an essential part of our efforts to combat climate change.
• The electricity generated from turbines would be used locally in and around Lincolnshire.
• The installed wind farm will provide power to over 17,000 homes.
• The delivery of renewable and low carbon energy and associated infrastructure is central to the economic, social and environmental dimensions of sustainable development.
• Onshore wind energy is one of the cheapest low carbon technologies.
• The community will benefit directly from jobs created during construction and through the Community Benefit Scheme which is valued at £130,000 to £162,500
