you get it Team Poor. and why for some it suits.

The cleaver ones probably don't want bigger grids at FKS..... why would you want to diminish your chances of winning the prizes, and reduce your potential exposure lol!

People like Ross Martin have pulled a blinder. While everyone else is doing Super1 Rotax his bagging himself a season in single seaters with testing etc and opening up opportunities he may not have ordinarily got. Or if he did he would have probably spent a shed load more doing European KF, to even get noticed by the same car teams.

for me its a no brainer for someone like him. If your aims are just to do karting (GREAT IDEA in my opinion) then LGM offers the best talent pool of drivers and great willy waving pub talk. but it won't get you to high end single seaters which is sort of what the series is aimed at. Like you say theres many cheaper ways to go karting.

As for drivers on free's. I can't answer that. I know what my boys are paying and they have received a lot of help from a company called William Powell (free plug?) , the owners of the company have watched 2 out of the 3 race weekends so i know they are genuinely interested in the drivers going forward. If the boys don't give them value back. then they won't see the investment again I'm sure. Same with anything in life.

I also see drivers using the VIP hospitality areas for guests and potential investors (something car racing does very well). Those that are truly switched on are making great use of whats on offer and really grabbing the opportunity to stand out and show something different from the usual "I won a few races...give me some money" attitude most have when karters try and find sponsors.

Like I say this may not be for everyone, but hopefully a few read what I'm saying and see the benefits. Earning a living out of driving is less about the driving than 99% think. We've all beaten people who now drive cars. we all wonder why some make it and others don't. but theres a common reason why ;-)

Sorry its a bit long
