All formula are affected, mini, junior & senior. Senior has new power valve, electronically operated.
There are changes in piston, conrod, crank, power valve, coil, loom, battery carrier, switches, carb & jets in carb, exhaust.

The crankcases, barrels, head, clutch, rad, air box, reed block, starter etc are the same, just the head and crank cases are a different colour.

All parts should be interchangeable with some bits as sets - i.e. power valve would need to come with coil / loom.

The only changes should be reliability - longer life, drivability relating to carb and power valve. They say power - area under the curve should not change. The perceived higher BHP reported is confused by the way they test and report the figures. Wait till a back to back is done in the same day on the same dyno. The shape of the curve may change and the carb should be more drivable hence on track performance may be better if you don't know how to drive the Rotax already.

Wait for the testing and feedback first, maybe there might be an opportunity to test yourself before you buy?

But agreed, why would anyone want to buy new now until the above is sorted and now the news is out values of existing kit will drop. But if testing shows no real advantage, used values should stabilise.

In summary now is not the time to but new Rotax or sell used Rotax for that matter! Limbo land comes to mind and another year for X30 to bite harder, more X30 racing will add more 'pro points' for X30 and more 'con points' for Rotax!!!!!!
