So I'm wasting time bumbling thruogh the internet (as plenty of us do) and come across this from the other month.

I've never been a big "Seb" fan but 1 thing is absolutely clear; Red Bull run a number 1 car and a number 2 car.

Vettel signed for Ferrari in 2011, because of this Mark Webber thought he might get the number 1 car in 2012, when he was told sorry son Seb's still got number 1 he signed for Porsche way back in March 2012 (which was outed not long after in the Aussie press).

Seb would have been at Ferrari last year but for his pesky winning of the 2013 championship forbidding it. Red Bull took one look at their pace relative to Mercedes and knew that for 2014 the game was up, they then chose to give the number 1 car to tomorrow's man, a very marketable man at that,;"Dan the man" and gave Seb the "Webber" car, for them he was yesterday's man and hurting his image was only ever going to make them look like the smart guys, getting rid of the has been as his talents waned and making Ferrari question what an earth they were paying so much money for. I'm not saying Dan wouldn't have smashed him anyway but it was never an equal contest.

That said Seb benefited from plenty of years of it being the other way round and he did crumble under his own pressures several times.

Kyvat being a lot less marketable than Dan will need to be an absolute shed load faster and more consistant than Dan to get the 1 car. I personally think Red Bull know he's not quite upto number 1 status and wont upset the new applecart. My sources tell me Buemi had the best telemitry traces of the lot of 'em over the last few years but it's too much humble pie for CH and HM to swallow to ever have him back...
