Rotax use a YT7B-BS type battery.

If the TKM is loss system then it could be the relay engaged.

Have you had to crank the engine a lot to start it?

That could weaken the relay contact and it is possible that it stuck.

Examine the low current side of the switch circuitry as this is the bit that feeds the relay to engage the contacts for the high current for the starter.

It could be your battery just went duff.
