I very much doubt that there is any circuitry in place to stop the starter motor overcharging the battery if it gets stuck, EXCEPT the fact that the starter switch is not engaged unless it goes short circuit, and then it would also be attempting to turn the engine. It would probably be audible.

If the TKM tag doesn't run on a loss system then the charging circuit probably hasn't got the ooompf to overcharge the battery anyway.

I would look carefully before connecting a new battery as Lipo's are a bit of a bomb if you treat them unkindly.
