Rollover: there were also extra spotters at the first corner.

I'm still not sure what the reluctance is to video some of this. It would be cheaper in the long run than employing extra bodies, there would be less argument about who did what and when if it could be reviewed, plus officials might also be able to act on events that the naked eye have missed first time round.

I agree that the racing was comparatively cleaner this weekend (and I think the first five in the Honda final did the sport proud - lots of close, clean overtaking throughout with a blanket finish).

Whether that standard of improvement can be maintained (or improved) with the current regulations though remains to be seen.

I see there's also a comment in a similar vein re Clay: of course, the answer is "According to the regs, put in a protest". To which any sensible reply would be "What's the point?". Maybe the Drivers Association might want to canvas opinion as to whether it should try and improve the regulations to help improve driving standards sustainably?
