Carrying on from that Simon, I frequently get hubs with sheared studs to repair and find that studs have been fitted incorrectly.
The studs fitted have different lengths of threaded ends and the wrong end is screwed into the hub which results in the unthreaded portion not seating into the hub or there is a large buildup of threadlock in the bottom of the thread.
This results in the nut bottoming on the protruding thread and not the wheel.
I found one kart with loose wheels because the impact gun wasn't charged enough to drive on new K nuts. A child had been allowed to fit them. It wrecked the wheels.
