I would look towards the senders for the problem.

The CHT senders are more prone to failure because of the vibration of the stiff wire that leads from the plug ring.

The Mychron sometimes develop a dry joint on the back of the plug where the lead plugs in and you should be able to check this by gently moving the plug and watching to see if the reading changes.

If it is this, you can re solder it with a fine iron.

The water senders do go duff if the seal breaks down and water gets into them.
