The next in my long line of questions, will get to grips with all of this one day, probably when he too big for cadets.

I have recently noticed the stub axle have some damage where it looks like some one in the past has ground off presumably the wheel bearing. Having changed the stub axles this seems to have completely thrown out the track me having got into even more of a mess trying to adjust it on the track rod ends. I have decided it is probably best for me to start from scratch having bought a new set of track rods and ends, but how is best to go about this. I am presuming if I start with both ends fully wound in and gradually wind these out until the front wheels are parallel to the back, this would be the starting point. I do have a set of tracking discs to facilitate me measuring front to back of these for the final toe which all advise seems to point to this being zero. Also any advise on the Ackerman angle would be appreciated there are two fixing points on the stub axles and I am fixing to the furthest point out is this correct. I also note there are three fixing points on the column me fixing to the central point both sides again is this correct.

Sorry to drone on but one last point am I right in assuming the steering column would be offset meaning one set of track rod ends being wound out further than the other side and are there any base point measurements to set the track rod ends track rods being 220mm.

Any advice as always is greatly appreciated.

Many thanks, Paul
