I would doubt it but you need to be more specific. It is the compound within a particular manufacturers range which is important. For example I have no doubt that Bridgestone at the 'stickier' end of their compound range ,make a tyre which would give you an advantage over the Senior Rotax Mojo.D2 but at the other end is the hard long life YDS which certainly wouldn't. The Le Cont tyres generally sold in uk would be ex Formula Blue tyres which I would think would be similar to MojoD1 or TKM Maxxis ie .a bit harder than Mojo D2. Le Cont may make a 'sticky' tyre but it will have a different designation. On the other hand new or near new F.Blue Le C onts may well be faster than 'clapped out' D2s. The tyre of choice in your situation would seem to be the Vega XM.
