Who knows what the long term prognosis of this move will be. As I have said before doing nothing isn't an option and it is fantastic that RPM have invested time and money (at their own commercial risk)into doing something different. Time will tell if demand is such that sealing agencies might have a place but for now I take comfort that it is all under the control of a single dyno.
This class will evolve over time. We have already seen a significant uplift in teams entering the first round of EPEC and that can't be coincidence.
Again, another week passes and I have yet to hear a decrying voice from any of the drivers that have had first had experience of the engines whether that be testing or racing. The same can't be said for other sealed series.
Teesside this Saturday night will hopefully eclipse the grids we had last year and with it being the first round of a new championship I wonder how many teams will still be running their 160 motors?
