Easy answer...... DON'T! ..... yet!
Put brutally: racing is about lap times! The trick is to get your lap time as CLOSE to the lap record as possible. Let's call the difference between your lap time and the lap record, the 'Gap'. Your task is to minimise the 'gap'.
It is BONKERS to concentrate on something that will cut the gap by 5% when there is something ELSE that will cut the gap by 80%!
At the moment... at LEAST 80% of the 'gap' will be in your DRIVING! Only 1% will be in your MOTORS! That 1% MATTERS when you are within 5% of the lap record but currently, it is SWAMPED by errors in your driving! You simply will NOT be able to SEE the time being cut by 'tuning' your motors!
So... simply go and spend a LOT of time, with your bum-in-the-seat first praticing and then RACING against SIMILAR karts! That will cut at LEAST 80% of the gap.
Be aware: most begginers can be LAPPED by a record holder in a SINGLE LAP! By that I mean that your FIRST few laps will take TWICE as long as the current lap RECORD! It's a bet I have taken and WON many times... that I can lap a newbie in their FIRST lap.... no matter HOW fast they THINK they are! Usually, the ones who THINK they are the quickest (Porsche and BMW drivers, please note!) are the EASIEST to beat as they usually spin OFF while trying to win the bet!
The NEXT place to cut the 'gap' is in chassis-setup-up and tyre-knowledge. You will find that around 10% of the gap can be handled by THAT!
Finally..... it's the motors..... but, to be honest... if this is your first kart... you are WELL away from benefitting from that expense, YET!
Save your money until you will BENEFIT from motor tuning!
