seat positioning is probably the most important thing when it comes to handling.

Too far back and the steering will feel vague...

too far forward and the rear end will be really loose and the kart will dive into corners far too fast.

Manafacturers give a "ball-park" measurement to get you started then of course you can adjust as necessary, but with my experience it is 9/10 times, perfect using the suggested measurements.
