Hello boys and girls,
This is interesting because the Delorto carb is so mysterious and full of secrets. For instance, we here in Sweden seem to run with a main jet about 2 sizes larger than you'se guys in England, with all other [wather] parameters being equal. But, back to the point, can you explain how these two different needles affect the performance of the motor on a short, twisty track as opposed to a fast track ?
I have heard that the 8,5 carb may be better on fast tracks, while the 12,5 is better suited to curvy, technical tracks. Any opinions on this ?
Hoping that you may be able to expound on the theories on needles as well. For instance, is the K27 with it's increased fuel flow in low to middle rpm's, better when coming out of curves [low rpm's], or will the motor "bog down" from being too rich at low rpm's.
Many thanks in advance for all advice in this finicky, cerebral, and ooohhh so satisfying endeavor.
Cheers,
Rick Shreiner
Stockholm, Sweden
