Just bought my lad a junior tkm clutched bt82 100cc, couple of quick questions ...
Q1. the handbook suggests 16:1 fuel/oil ratio but Ive also been told by a guy that has run a tkm for a while that he recomends 250ml per 5litres which is 20:1, any views ?
Q2. the kart has been stood a good while so Ive had a new service kit fitted to the carb today and when refitting the carb, the engine wouldnt start, when it eventually did it run poor , smoked its puddins out and eventually stalled, took the carb apart and identified the prob as the needle wasnt shutting off and the fuel was running straight into the engine and into the filter! eventually to get it to run but had to bend the float hieght slightly, now starts and runs sweet, first outing is 2mrw but now wondering if Ive moved the height too far and what effects it will have if any?
Q3. Im guessing these dont have rev limiters ? do I set the sprocket for max revs for the straight ?
Q4. (oh and what is max recomended revs )
