If you hit the rev limiter before the end of the straight your gearing is too high , lower the number of teeth until it does not .
You can continue to lessen the number of teeth until your lap times start to suffer then go back up to the previous size .
Lighter drivers can get away with lower sprocket sizes wheras heavier ones need larger ones to help with acceleration out of the slower corners .
