No..... you make too large an assumption from my answer.
The point was that, if you are NOT racing, the probability is that neither your standard nor needs will be of the level where you will feel the extra performance from MANY of the subtle tuning changes!
The Tillett seats range is EXCELLENT! However, like 99% of other 'tuning' aids in karting, it's NOT a simple 'will this make me faster' question.
Tillett seats come in various 'stiffnesses' (to cover just ONE of their attributes). If your chassis is 'floppy', then a stiffer seat MAY well help you. But..... if your chassis is already TOO stiff, then a stiff seat will be a DISADVANTAGE. Like many tuning aids, unless you understand the problem, then there is only, AT BEST, a 50% chance that any change will make you FASTER.
The only other way to find out without 'understanding', is to TRY the various options chosing only those which make you FASTER! Buy a Tillett soft and a Tillett stiff and buy a cheapy etc.. Bolt them ALL on an test them ALL. In truth.... that's EXACTLY what Formula 1 Teams do as well! They 'think the problem through' and then they TEST, TEST, TEST in case they were wrong!
In my opinion, the question you should be asking is 'what changes can I make which will have the BEST lap timing improvements for the least money'. The advantages from a change of seat will be VERY small and are relatively 'expensive' for that small improvement.
To that, I'd simply answer: 'get more bum in seat time against people on equal equipment ........ and single BEST way to do that is to RACE'! It is quite usual to see at least 1 second's improvement in you first race! Nothing will make you quicker, sooner!
