Welcome aboard Steve.

You can get a tester session at one of the tracks running the lets go karting scheme.

Also some tracks do a more permanent scheme like the racing for buttons at Rowrah and at PFi.

Wrong end of the country for me, but I thiink Buckmore do a similar junior scheme.

Ask around at the tracks.

Another alternative is to book a day with a team like Protrain at Whilton Mill, who will do a days coaching with hire race equipment etc. Not sure of the cost, but possibly more worthwhile than the Lets Go Karting scheme, if you have already tried out Corporate Karts.
