You can be lucky as folks say. I 'took a flyer' and purchased a BT82 Junior that was on its last bore for £80 odd quid cos I wanted something to practice my first 'strip and build on'. Ended up accidently fitting the engine (got mixed up in the rush between heats) when one of our usual motors went 'pop'. Admitedly we were only practising but my lad came in and said 'crackin engine', we have done a couple of hours practice on it since, although, compression seems to be dropping now
