Vibration is usually an example of energy being wasted. Noise is the similar. To make your kart vibrate, you need to put energy IN to the vibration and that can (almost) ONLY come from your engine 'driving' the vibration rather than driving the kart FORWARD!

If your wheels are out of balance, they vibrate! Stopping them from causing the vibration gives you that energy BACK!

However....... most wheels are not THAT far out of balance to 'steal' significant amounts of energy and thus you have to decide for yourself if it's WORTH bothering with it!

Secondly, if the wheel vibrates ENOUGH, it may 'leap' off the ground with each cycle of the vibration. Tyres don't grip too well when they are off the ground!

However, it's got to be VERY out of balance to do that!
