Your views may WELL be valid but plese don't use 'faulty logic' to defend themn! It was YOU who claimed we should do XYZ becasue it was the NORM! Whereas you DON'T want to remain wihtout disc protectors even though THAT has been the 'norm' since the FIRST day of karting!

That's simply not REASONABLE in 'argument' terms! If abiding by the 'norm' is a 'good reason' for allowing Kerbing, then how does it become invalid for disk protection?

Anyway, the 'level' of kerbing being used today is NOT the norm! There has not been one track in the COUNTRY in the whole HISTORY of karting that would have allowed for a kart to REPEATEDLY drive all FOUR wheels over a new karb and, indeed, would even EXTEND the kerb to make this EASIER.

Allowing a SINGLE wheel onto the kerb WAS the 'norm' for the past ....... Now.....one circuit at least.... does NOT follow the 'norm' and allows all FOUR wheels and AGAIN you haven't stated that departing from the 'norm' in THAT case is 'wrong'!

Be consistent with your views and with your reasoning, Steve! If maintaining and supporting the 'norm' has a value for 'kerbs' then it has a value for ALL kerbs! It also MUST have a value for the speed of rolling laps...... and the 'historical' norm for that WAS to allow it!

If it doesn't, then the 'norm' has no value for ANY part of karting!

Ian
