Fair enough you like Macs for your purposes, but you do say some ludicrous things in their defence. Apple doesn’t make the LCDs, as I’m sure you know there are a couple of screen manufactures that supply unbranded components across the industry, which are then used in many branded products.

This means that Mac hardware has exactly the same failure rate as any other brand of hardware. It’s technically and physically impossible to claim that Macs have some form of magical properties that prevent hardware failure. I’ve been in the computer industry for a long time and can assure you that these magic powers are not borne out in the real world.

In the same way that having systematically tested iTunes on both PC and Mac, I’ve discovered that it performs equally as poorly in both environments and drawn the only reasonable conclusion that it is just bad software. The difference with trendy Macs hardware wise, is that I can’t swap out the broken component and in many instances neither can Apple, so the unit becomes junk.
