the CoC at Rye House, I'd have to see the incidents and know why he made that judgement!

To clarify I have penalised for leaving the circuit and driving off the circuit, but I used my discretion more in the manner that it was done and utilised the reg for the offence, as it says at my discretion!

If that's what the CoC at Rye has done then I agree with him, if not then I'd be interested in the reasons before passing judgement!

The exit to Cafe at Shenington is a great example, the white lines can only really be painted in one particular place but it is common practice to drive over those lines! My discretionary view is simple if the kart re enters the circuit without causing a problem to others I wouldn't penalise, however if a kart went to overtake within the white lines the one outside them should concede on re entry to the circuit and if they don't I would penalise them!

There's another corner at PF! ie the 1st hairpin that you can overtake and both be within the confines of the white lines, but then the overtaking driver has no right to hold the outer driver until they go off of the track and outside the white lines ie they must give them track room.

Two examples of why it would not be wise to legislate strictly and why room for discretion and intelligent CoCing needs to exist!
