If you own one of the TonyKart brands (ours is an EVXX) please check the bolt that retains the brake pads, ours disappeared together with one of the brake pads during practice today at 3 Sisters, resulting in a head-on impact into tyre-wall followed by the kart then flipping onto the driver. The damage to both the kart and the driver was considerable, I later checked the data-logger and my son was travelling at around 72mph when he hit the tyre wall.
The point of this is report is that when I went to buy the considerable number of parts required to rebuild the kart the dealer on hearing the tale of what happen he volunteered “that’s always happening”!!!!
Now it may be the case but I had not heard of it, rest assured that now, a bolt with double nuts, has replaced the failed TonyKart part, so it won’t happen again, but please check your own kart as you may have a problem that you don’t know about and I don’t want it to bite you.
