Ok so ive been hit bad with the credit crunch, just got layed off but with a few potential jobs in line...
ill cut a long story short, 2 meetings ago bought myself a 2008 few meeting old kart and spent several hundred on my MAX engine getting it fiched, i just about think im there n very on the pace now, but the money im spending on rotax is so much, and it just doesnt seem to stop!? ive been offerd a slight deal on a brand new tkm package, and the class looks quite attractive apart from the depresiation of the value of the equiptment and the small grids, but maybe thats an advamtage? no more "all guns blazeing" first corner smash ups as thats whats seamed to hurt my pocket the most, i just want fun raceing but still competative, but with money on mind being priority so im looking in the face of....
1 Stay with rotax after just getting myself a very sorted package but run the risks of the higher costs and wear rate such as tyres etc,
2 Sell all my stuff probably at the same value as the whole new tkm set up would cost, but with less risks of damage, more simple to set up, some clubs doing great deals, but with the risk of substantial depresiation and less competative raceing....
but please every 1 remember this is coming out of my own pocket, no sponsers...no 1 else helping, it means no trips down the pub at night to save all my money for karting n just enough to get by so with that in mind, peoples honest opinions would be greatfully apresiated
