Hi Dean,

We've suffered from this kind of thing and as the other postings suggest, the carb is the most likely cause.

When you service the carb, you must replace the needle and seat and clean out all drillings and parts with carb cleaner: just changing the gaskets is false economy (as we have found to our cost!). If fuel is dumping into the airbox, either you have the high jet opened out far too much, or the needle and seat are failing to seal properly.
