Think you are in the minority Trev.

Clubman:Pro split based on ability, in my view, works (evidenced by the success of PF). It also means that the skinny, younger emerging driver like Lewis, Aly, Adam H, young Josh Prokarts and all the other new drivers get to race for pots and championship against drivers of similar ability whilst aspiring to gain promotion to the premier class. The alternative weight split would mean that the skinny drivers, regardless of ability, get to race against Steven Welsh, Lee Metcalf, Grant (on a diet) and yourself Trev - ie they would continue to have no chance against this experience. That then leaves the heavies of me, Yorkie, Danny D (if he makes a return) Adam Lee (who is awesome in the wet), Gary R.

And then you run the risk, if the younger emerging drivers don't wish to race in teh elite class adding a further 5 kgs which actually perpetuates your own argument on safety.

180kgs has worked as a weight limit for ages at WL as well as elsewhere - leave this as is (it will may it easire for the scrutineer to check as well - all class of karts the same weight (just like the WF rules for next year).

Clubman:Pro split by abiliy works - We all know which category we should be racing in. certainly seeding from Summer series results (and Winter series) should be a factor. Visiting drivers just have to ask but by & large it will be accepted that if say Wilko, Gregor, Grasscutter turn out they will want to race in Pro class just as we do when we go to PF.

This rule change is supposed to attempt to attract further drivers to our grid. All this confusion is probably putting people off. And Trev, just because you are 73 KGs will only put you 2 places further forward on the grid. And like the round before last you will be left running on your own - ie no racing as Lee, Steven, Grant will still be in front which fat lads Macfarlane and Harrison will be 10kgs behind.

Why not just leave it all as is. Concentrate on attracting more drivers both experienced and novice and hope our class can continue for decades.

Graeme
