Firstly covering club racing is not going to raise the profile but doing a five min piece on a club would help people realise there is a club close to them. We all know club racing is excellent to watch but with super 1 and other such championships you have a lot of well polished and presented teams and drivers that will look professional to those new to the sport (i.e new viewers) and will look familiar to those within the sport already.
The topics mentioned are good test new karts, fitness regimes, charity races etc but they could not be the main part of the show. Once a month is a good starting point however the perfect launch pad is a channel such as dave or itv 4 as they tend to rely on a certain demographic and repeat programs heavily.
The use of static cameras is a great idea however what are going to be the main sources of income to run this programme are you going to rely on handouts from certain teams as knowing people who have approached sky and dave before they will air the programme but will pay zero for it until they have viewing figures to warrant a payment. You can get the programme out there but you will need to be able to sustain the programme for approximately 2 years before seeing any real return.
The other problem is that new programmes very rarely get shown at a decent time so highlighting your programme is going to be a problem unless you advertise again you need to fund this your self.
Its a great idea and I would love to help with such an item but with all things it needs to come down to numbers of viewers and income generation. Just because a wealth of forum readers will watch it does not necessarily generate huge viewers. One of the best ways to get a new program up and running is to air on youtube and gain over 20,000 hits consistently a month then you are criteria for currenttv which is basically google on digital tv. Then you would be able to go to broadcasters with viewing figures that havent cost the earth just your time and a decent youtube account. You can contact me if you need any help.
