hi a vortex vab is a jica engine and is about 24 hp i think. i have a maxter jica on a tonykart venox.
it will need a hand held starter to start it.
if you keep the revs down to around 16,000 rpm it will last around 10 hours but i do change the crank bearings and seals every 5 hours, they cost about £20 for all four 2 bearings+2 seals and most of the parts are avalible from dartford karting.
if you give me your email address i will send you a old swiss hutless parts list so you can have a look at it.
cheers mark
