Well everyone would like to own Snap On tools and boxes. I do agree that you should buy good quality GENERAL tools like spanners and screwdrivers. I disagree that a hobby karter would need a Snap On tool chest though. You would commonly use the toolbox heavily just once a month, whereas a full time mechanic will use the box everyday including Saturdays possibly. I would therefore expect something from the Machine Mart or Clarke range to be admirably suitable. Do not buy the "complete sets" of spanners, comprising of 1/4 3/8 and 1/2 ranges, they are usually cheap and nasty. In general, 3/8 will fit the bill.Of course, if you can find or afford one, go for it.
