1). Michael Schumacher is rumoured to have spent £3.5 million just to get himself into the seat of his first F1 car.

2). McLaren are rumoured to have spent £10 million getting Hamilton into the seat of his first F1 car.

3). One of the lesser past drivers was rumoured to have spent an annual £2 million in sponsorship to keep his seat in an F1 car.
