"Drivers should note that the popular Unico ‘08’ bodywork will go out of homologation on 1st January 2009, but the MSA have agreed it may still be allowed in all classes during 2009. Apparently not all manufacturers have re-homologated their first offerings of the crash tested bodywork. KG are hopefully going to continue manufacturing this edition of their sidepods etc for spares"

I think it means that it won't be allowed in European racing next year as the CIK homologation runs out at the end of the year for bodywork that was brought out in 2003 (which replaced the square bodywork).

The MSA are going to allow the Unico 08 bodywork to be used for at least next year whilst everyone changes to the newer bodywork. The same reason why the square bodywork was only outlawed last year whereas Europe banned it at the end of 2002!
