There is some really good stuff on Brian's site.

In standard format, however, unless you have a particularly awesome engine they run way too rich on anything but the 70 jet (72 at a push but 75 just kills it. The standard emulsion tube works with all jets and if you are running with teh current Honda regulations (see GX160parts.com) there is a specific measurement for the correct tube. If not just use a GX200 carb with all the correct jets - it will fly then.

The air screw is betweem 2 & 2.5 turns out from fully closed. With the engine running it should stall when fully closed - if it dosn't it suggests a blockage somewhere (norally the piot jet - the black one). With the engines running turn the air screw between 1.5 - 3 turns from out and you will hear the engine not pick up a little - this is the optimum point.

However, what you describe sounds a bit more than a carb problem. You shouldn't be able to hold a wheel with just one engine running. This isn't "bogging" (which is a chassis set up problem) but rather just a fundamental lack of power. What is the history of your kart/engines?
