I don't know guys, massa lucked into the win in france with Kimis exhaust problem, he was given the win in belgium having been nowhere during the race. In monaco he was poor, in silverstone he was plain rubbish, in australia he forgot he didn't have TC at T1 and off he went, in malaysia he just spun it off, canada ferrari and massa fouled it up in quali and never recovered. This performance level doesn't really equate to 'worthy champion' for me.

Equally Hamilton has managed to find drama where there didn't need to be any, canada was maybe the worst instance of that, i think ferrari have the best car now certainally in the dry, but its very close. Lewis seemingly won't get help from kovalainen unless he can find more race pace, an area he has been poor in this year (can anyone think of a race where kovalainen looked like a genuine threat for a win due to his own sheer pace) Kimi on the other hand is bound to have at least one strong finish in the next few, his run must end and that may be enough to find a way for massa to take the title.

I think hamilton deserves it on the basis that for these two years he has led the championship for the large majority and so statistically has been performing the best, and when you consider his F1 experience it is very impressive and deserves the reward of the number 1
