"Basher drives into Hamilton, no action taken. Is it because he is black? "
It struck me that blaming Kobyashi for the Hamilton incident was entirely the work of the commentator and the MacLaren Team rep.
As someone else pointed out, Kobyashi was alongside Hamilton, front wheel to front wheel on the outside.
Even in karting Hamilton wouldn't be allowed to shove him out further, which is what he tried to do.
Indeed, at this level of racing, one would suspect that in that position the 'normal racing line' would be to brake a touch earlier and cut to the inside, as Alonso and various other drivers demonstrated.
As for the Maldonado incident, Hamilton clearly moved into the centre of the track and took up some of the separation room.
After his performance on the last corner, shoving Maldonado wide in a move that was arguably illegal but loudly applauded by the commentators, I would think it could have been seen by Maldonado as a second aggressive move. OK Retaliation was not called for but then neither was the first shunt.
Seems fair stewarding to me, whatever Eddie Jordan might splutter. (Though agree with Coulthard, it isn't any sort of an example.)
