What went wrong.......well, Billy Davies and Paul Jewell collectively bringing the club to its knees by spending millions on dross and giving them 4 year contracts.
28 to 30k fans at home every week still came to cheer the team on but there was no hope, they were just crap. How we ever got promoted i'll never know, with the club £55m in debt most of the prize money was used to pay this off as the co-op bank were getting very nervous, this inevitably caused us to be the worst team in PL history getting relegated with 11 points.
Since then the american owners have been rebuilding slowly, got Nigel Clough in as manager knowing the fans will be patient as its a 'Clough' in charge again, well the guy is totally clueless and tactically naive, when we're 1-0 up the opposition manager brings on strikers and changes the game, they go on to win 2-1, when we're 1-0 down cloughy brings on defenders.
The financial fair play rules will help, we've been very prudent with our money since getting the debt down to £10m while leicester are going for s*** or bust, good luck to them but i can only see that ending in tears for them, forest the same.
Heres looking forward to some tasty matches this season, hope we get off to a good start, all i wish for is that while we won't beat some of the better teams we win the games we technically should be winning (without sounding arrogant)
