Just remember, every year someone has the fastest car, there is a team mate in the exact same car he has to beat. Jenson had an absolutely fantastic drive at the end of the season to win his championship year. Canada lucky? How exactly? Which bit of luck made him 4 seconds faster than everyone else in the same conditions? Was this the same luck that brought him out 10 seconds behind the entire field? As someone has said, both great drivers, both different drivers, and seem to get on well. Jenson for me seems to be one of the nicest most down to earth guys on the grid, so thats why he gets the thumbs up from me. As regards someone outperforming his car, you cant really look past Schumi for his Benetton wins and early Ferrari wins.
