Would it be good for F1, would Sky ruin it like they have football?
Interesting few weeks ahead i feel because theres so many twists and turns to come i'm sure. For example; the present stipulation under the terms of the governing Concorde Agreement and European law is that the sport must be broadcast on free-to-air television so how would that work with Sky, i know it won't be pay-per-view as such but it could be argued that it already is IF you have to have a sports package to see it.
Also the current concorde agreement runs out in 2012 so will Bernie try and push through the signing of an extension, after all without a concorde agreement CVC actually own the rights to..........well.....didly squat and even with the FIA's power to VETO any sale if they so wish what good would it do as with no concorde agreement there is no F1 and with leading team managers meeting with representatives of the consortium today (Sat) Bernie must be fuming at what they are actually talking about.
So, will the teams agree to another concorde agreement or will they resist and form a breakaway series to be shown on Sky?
