a balanced car but at the expense of extra power, like I say I fail to see the gain. Surely the extra stability wouldn't be greater than the advantage gained from kers?

I think looking at the qualifying with this in mind it now looks even more promising for Hamilton as he is essentially 3 tenths off where he would be with kers but Vettel doesn't have the option of kers in the race assuming the Redbull doesn't have an in-race kers system. It would appear that the Maclaren is much closer in performance to the Redbull than anybody would have expected.
