Ian, at the weekend, we are talking about FAR worse driving standards than, generally, you would EVER see in karting.
In Junior Ginetta, it really was quite literally like stock car racing, in fact, just before the race ended, it was red flagged........not because of any one incident, more of an accumulation, the run off areas resembled a bombed area of Baghdad and I think in the end, the clerk just got sick of it.....seriously, all but about three of the grid could have been black flagged.
I`ve seen some poor driving in karting, but not THAT poor, and I agree with Late Braker and one or two others on the thread, that, with the senior classes being little better and, generally, getting away with it, then why should we expect any better from the Juniors. Yesterday required far stricter discipline, more black flags, more bans.....across the senior classes as well as the juniors, whether Late Braker is correct about the ITV aspect or not, I don`t know, but whilst I fully agree that there has always been a certain amount of contact in BTCC, that was ridiculous. If I had wanted to watch stock car racing, I`d have gone to a stock car meeting.
